The Marchetti 260C is an Italian aircraft that has been used as a military trainer and for aerobatics. The SF-260s made their first flight in 1964 and were largely sold to the miliary for training, but in the late 60s a version of this aircraft was marketed in the US and sold privately. This venture was largely unsuccessful. It wasn’t until the 70s and 80s that it became slightly more successful when an airline pilot became a major reseller of the aircraft.

Today, there are a few of these aircraft flying in the air show circuit by private pilots who show off the incredible capabilities of these aircraft.
